I don't want to be at the track all day. What is the meet schedule? Our intention is to improve the experience for athletes and spectators who love track and field! While competitions are held in the temporary venue, athletes will compete as follows: Younger athletes (12 and under) will compete in the mornings, Older athletes (13 and up) will compete in the afternoons/evenings. This allows for events to flow more smoothly and quickly, as well as allowing athletes to know approximately what time each of their events will take place. Division Schedules Athletes in the Open Division will compete on even number weekends of the 10-week season. Invitational Division athletes will compete on the even numbered weekends. By only allowing athletes to compete every other week, the opportunity exists for athletes to recover from each meet, work on areas in which they are able to improve, and stay healthy. With this breakdown, traffic flow both in and out of the facilities will be easier maintained as well. And parents/families will NOT have to spend 12 hours per day at a track meet. MEET SCHEDULE EXAMPLE (See Below) The mile has the largest potential athlete pool. By having the mile event all 3 days of the meet and breaking down each meet as previously mentioned, the mile event will be broken down into 12 separate groups. That cuts down the time it takes for this event from 12 hours into 12, 1 hour groupings. Morning Group: 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM Afternoon Group: 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM
