FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE August 1, 2025

The World Indoor Track & Field League (WITFL) was founded with a mission to give athletes of all ages the opportunity to reach their full potential in the sport of track and field. For too long, the sport has lacked consistent, year-round opportunities compared to football, soccer, and other team sports. WITFL is changing that by building a league and a network of facilities where athletes can train, compete, and develop with the same structure and visibility enjoyed by other sports.

Backed by Z-Athlete Group, Inc., WITFL announced today that it is preparing to open a series of indoor track and field arenas and satellite training centers across the United States. Up to 10 full-scale arenas are planned, supported by smaller Satellite Training Centers ranging from 7,500 to 50,000 square feet. These facilities will provide year-round opportunities for sprinters, hurdlers, throwers, jumpers, and vaulters in climate-controlled environments where weather is never a factor.

Each center will be 100% dedicated to track and field, with specialized competition areas such as throwing circles, multiple sand pits for long and triple jump, pole vault and high jump pits, and sprint lanes from 40 yards to 60 meters. Athletes will also benefit from modern recovery methods, including compression therapy, massage, and cold plunge.

As the home of the World Indoor Track & Field Developmental League, these centers will be powered by Z-Athlete’s patent-pending AI technology, providing real-time performance analytics and feedback typically available only to professional athletes. This integration will level the playing field for youth and high school athletes while creating a clear path to elite competition.

The League is preparing to host its first major indoor professional league in 2026 with the launch of a 10-week Las Vegas–based season in a temporary arena while the permanent arena is under construction. Team and satellite location ownership opportunities are also available, with territories divided by high school regions.
