What Determines a  TrackFit Territory?

A TrackFit Territory is a designated geographic area aligned with a specific public or private high school and its associated feeder schools. Feeder schools include elementary and middle schools that typically channel students into that high school. This defined territory serves as the primary boundary for youth and adult participation in TrackFit programs, ensuring local accessibility and community engagement.

Key Features of a TrackFit Territory:

  1. High School-Centered Boundaries

    • Each TrackFit Territory is anchored around a specific high school, whether public or private.

    • The territory extends to all official feeder schools that supply students to the high school, including elementary and middle schools.

  2. Youth and Adult Eligibility

    • All youth who attend the designated high school or its feeder schools are eligible for participation.

    • Adults residing within the designated feeder area, including parents, guardians, alumni, and local community members, are also included.

  3. Inclusivity and Accessibility

    • A TrackFit Territory ensures that training, events, and development opportunities are available to all individuals within the designated area.

    • It allows for community-based participation, fostering engagement across different age groups and athletic levels.

  4. Public and Private School Inclusion

    • TrackFit Territories apply equally to both public and private high schools.

    • Private schools without formal feeder schools may be assigned a TrackFit Territory based on geographic proximity and local community demographics.

  5. Program Structure

    • TrackFit programs within each TrackFit Territory may include school-based training, community clinics, club teams, fitness assessments, and special events tailored to the needs of participants.

    • Programs can be customized to fit the unique characteristics of each school district and surrounding community.

By defining TrackFit Territories in alignment with high school and feeder school networks, the program ensures consistency, accessibility, and local engagement, making track and field development a community-centered initiative.
